About
RigFit Camp helps RV owners find federal campgrounds with sites that fit their rig, using the public Recreation.gov campground database.
What you can do here
Enter your rig length and the hookups you need in the RV campground finder. It counts the matching sites at every federal campground that lists site lengths, so you can see where a 40 ft fifth wheel or a 50 amp motorhome fits before you open a reservation page.
Each campground page shows how many sites fit 30, 35, 40 and 45 ft rigs, the pull-through, electric, water, sewer and full-hookup counts, and the rules the agency lists, such as check-in time, pets and campfires.
Where the figures come from
Data Source: Recreation.gov. Campground and campsite details come from the Recreation.gov RIDB data export, which Recreation.gov offers for free reuse. It covers campgrounds run by federal agencies such as the USDA Forest Service, the National Park Service, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Land Management. Private RV parks and state parks are not included.
The data is refreshed about once a month. Agencies update their listings at different times, so a site detail can change before it reaches this site.
How site lengths are counted
For each campsite we take the longest RV, trailer or fifth wheel length the agency lists. A length of 0, under 10 ft or over 100 ft is treated as unknown. A site fits a rig when its listed length is at least the rig length. Sites without a listed length are counted as RV sites but never as fitting a given length.
Page text is generated by code from those figures, without AI writing. An automated check compares every number in the text with the data before a page is published.
Independence and corrections
RigFit Camp is an independent site. It is not affiliated with Recreation.gov or any federal agency, and it does not take reservations. Always confirm the exact site, rules and dates on Recreation.gov before you go.
